What do you like best about this course?:

Da helped everyone learn what Professor Milonas strongly lacked in lecture.

He was very helpful with everything we were learning.

I like this course because it teaches me new concepts that I have never learned before.

I like that I learned more excel formulas.

Computer science is intriguing.

learned excel

TA Da Huo respects students, he does not push us to do things but to attract us to learn things from the class. And the examples he shows us are really useful and clear.

The TA help was very nice

Assignments felt like they built upon one another, you needed the previous one to do the next.

I genuinely enjoyed learning how to code and learning about computer applications.

Da answers any questions you have and explains them.

DA Huo is really pay attention to every students, and the contents in recitation make us much easier to understand.

I learned a lot

The coding.

I learned a lot in recitation, it was very helpful to see what the TA was doing and be able to follow along.

If you were teaching this course, what would you do differently?:

Go over things more than once in recitation to ensure we are grasping the concept.

Not make assignments as difficult as it is.

I would be more thorough in teaching difficult concepts because the topics are heavy.

Present data from the textbook differently, and give an overview of what is expected of us to know. There is so much data from the text book and not all of it is on the exam or even relevant to the course.

I think more time needs to spent on teaching coding.

tests were way too hard. assignments confusing, instructions not clear.

do more excersises

nothing. they taught this class very well

Maybe include something like a tutorial to do a specific kind of code on the website in case a student missed class and accept questions from that code in recitation.

I would change the lectures because as they are now they are useless

Make things clearer when teaching

teach more things that will be on the exam as opposed to just assignments

More interesting assignments, better feedback on our homework

Nothing.

In what ways, if any, has this course or the instructor encouraged your intellectual growth and progress?:

He helped a lot of us understand the importance of these coding methods.

He has helped me with any questions I have about the assignments or what we were learning.

The TA has encouraged my intellectual growth and progress by assisting me.

I want to learn more about excel and making websites.

He helped me understand what I did wrong when I would code. I think he's good at guiding especially since he's basically expert at it.

made me like comp sci

They did a great job of introducing new computer programs that most people have never used before

None

DA is the best TA and has helped me throughout the course.

Lessened my anxiety with programming

I don't hate computer science as much anymore

Learning a new language.

Following examples was very helpful and he always tried to answer our questions to the best of his ability.
